Dreamy Basement Renovation in Long Grove
Originally an unfinished and open space, this basement underwent a remarkable transformation into a spacious secondary living area. Our clients envisioned their home as a gathering place for family and friends, especially for their soon-to-be teenagers to bring their friends over. The basement renovation perfectly aligned with their goal.
The completed remodel boasts recreational zones, a family room anchored by a striking modern fireplace and bar seating, a kitchenette, a bedroom, a full bathroom, and a bunk room equipped with a cozy seating area for movies and gaming. We added unique architectural elements such as wainscot trim, a discreet room hidden behind a custom bookshelf, custom barn doors, and a custom mantle surround adorned with stunning modern tile. Colorful tiles in the spacious full bath, along with brass accents throughout, contribute to the luxurious aesthetic.
The bunk room, a delightful bonus, accommodates four beds and provides additional seating and storage—perfect for guests and family game nights. The kitchen, seamlessly connected to the family room, extends the entertaining space with bar seating and ample storage. The finished basement now exudes brightness and warmth, inviting friends and family to linger.
