Dramatic Whole Home Transformation in Glenview
Our clients came to us hoping we could transform their home, located in their ideal neighborhood, into their dream home. Balancing form and function, we aimed to create a boutique hotel atmosphere and a highly functional home for this busy family. Our journey began in the mudroom/laundry and home office, where we reconfigured the layout and added luxurious, durable finishes. The home office, which also serves as a guest room, stands out with its rich custom paneling and cabinetry. Moving through the first floor, we optimized flow by reconfiguring walls and introduced architectural elements like a tray ceiling, fireplace, and custom trim work in the living room.
This previously underutilized space is now inviting for family and friends. The custom-built bar cabinets, marble mantelpiece, and seating areas contribute to the room’s opulence. The family room and kitchen blend seamlessly, featuring luxury appliances, walnut cabinets, and stunning furnishings. Dramatic quartzite countertops and a marble backsplash steal the show. Throughout the first floor, the dining room and powder room maintain the rich color palette and drama with lighting, window treatments, and wallpaper. Custom cabinets, furniture, lighting, and a custom staircase runner complete the foyer. Upstairs, we optimized hallway storage with custom inset cabinetry and refreshed the kids’ bathroom with vintage-inspired tile, new cabinets, and plumbing.
